Tiny Towns is a nice little puzzler. Put coloured blocks together in the right pattern on a grid, and then replace them with a building that (should) score you points. As you add more blocks and buildings, you fill up the grid till you can't build no more!
It's a nice mix of spatial reasoning, thinking ahead, being tactical but also flexible if the colours don't go your way.
However, it is a little dry.
You'll note that in the description I said "coloured blocks". These blocks are meant to represent different building materials - Glass, wood, glass, straw, bricks and stone/cement.
So to jazz it up I hunted around for things more evocative of those materials.
The glass drops I had anyway, the cement I made, the bricks and wooden planks were dollhouse supplies (cheap from Temu). I painted the bricks to make them a bit redder.
The straw...that was a struggle. I'm sure people could use bananas instead!
What do you think? Aren't those bricks cute!
